Learn: How to do a Vlookup in Excel | Part 4

Iss baar Vlookup k bade he khaas pehlu se aapka parichay karvata hu:

School/Colleges mai ek simple sa Policy maintain hota hai, taaki Students ko pata chale ki:

  • Fail hai
  • Pass hai
  • Distinction hai

Toh Generally aisa hota hai ki:

  • 0-39 → Fail
  • 40-89 → Pass
  • 90-100 → Distinction

Abb maanlijiye, mere pass ek student hai:

  • Naam = Jai Prakash
  • Score = 92

Abb aapke pass ek(1) ya do(2) students hai toh aap haath se likh sakte hai(Distinction)

Lekin aise 5000 students alag alag Scores k sath, toh aap hath se nahi likh payege.

Mai chahta hu ek Formula/Function ho, jo ek baar lagaye aur kaam kare fatafat baar-baar.

Toh chaliye dosto, mai sikhata hu aapko ki kaise karna hai:

Note: Jo Lookup Value aapne Choose kiya hai vo Lookup Value aapko pehle Column mai paaya jaaye, agar aapne table usske pehle waale Column par se select karoge toh aapko Answer nahi milega(Refer this Post)

Agar 92 milne k baad mujhe status chaaiye:

  1. Type kijiye ⇒ {=VLOOKUP(}
  2. Lookup value → 92 ⇒ {=VLOOKUP(D10,}
  3. Score k aage aur ek column banaye → Score >= ⇒ Usme likhiye:
    1.  0
    2. 40
    3. 90
  4. Pure Table ko Choose kare ⇒ {=VLOOKUP(D10,B5:D7,}
  5. Press F4 ⇒ {=VLOOKUP(D10,$B$5:$D$7,}
  6. Press 3 → 3rd Column ⇒ {=VLOOKUP(D10,$B$5:$D$7,3,}
  7. Press true/1 (false/0)  ⇒ {=VLOOKUP(D10,$B$5:$D$7,3,1)}
  8. Press ENTER↵

Waah Bhaiya, Answer aagya Jai Prakash→92=Distinction.

Toh dosto ye bohot he accha Technique hai time bachaneka aur quickly answers nikalneka.

Log IF(Formula) ka istamaal karte hai isme, par usme bohot time chala jaata hai.
