Excel Autofill – Dates, Years and Months

1. Autofill Dates

1. Type the initial date in the first cell.

2. Select the cell with the initial date and drag the fill handle down or to the right.

3. Excel will immediately give you a series of dates that you typed manually.

If you can’t see the icon while dragging from the bottom right corner of the cell then all you have to do is:

1. Go to File

2. Go to Options

3. An Excel Options Panel will open, go to Advanced

4. Tick on Enable fill handle and cell drag-and-drop

5. Click OK

2. Auto Fill Years

1. Drag the cell from the bottom right corner and hold it on the downside of the column

2. After, dragging click on the Autofill Sum Option button on the bottom right corner of the column

3. Click on the Fill Years option

3. Auto Fill Months

1. Drag the cell from the bottom right corner and hold it on the downside of the column

2. After, dragging click on the Autofill Sum Option button on the bottom right corner of the column

3. Click on the Fill Months option
