Excel Freeze Panes

In this blog, we will learn about Freeze Panes in Excel

Example:

Most of the time this thing happens that the data in your report is huge and when you scroll down to the bottom you see that the headings are missing. As in Excel for making reports Headings are plays a very crucial role

Now to see the headings while scrolling down to the bottom we will apply a simple technique which is:

1. Choose the row so that the header should appear on the screen

2. Go to View Tab > Freeze Panes

3. Scroll down to the bottom you will see the headings are in the same place after applying this technique

Now if you want that your report should look like the older one as it was before then do this:

1. Again Go to View Tab

2. Click on Freeze Panes and click on Unfreeze Panes from the dropdown list

Also when you scroll down to the right-hand side you will see that the names are missing. So in order to the see the names while scrolling down towards the right we will apply a simple technique which is

Note – Select the cell so that there should be an intersecting point between the row and column

1. Choose the yellow cell

2. Go to View Tab > Freeze Panes

3. Lastly, from the dropdown list click on Freeze Panes option

Now after moving to the right-hand side you will see the client names are appearing also if you scroll down to the bottom then you can also see the headings

If you want that your report should look like the older one as it was before then do this:

1. Again Go to View Tab

2. Click on Freeze Panes section and click on Unfreeze Panes from the dropdown list
